In the short story story I have chosen there is a moment in which the sniper takes a drought of his whiskey, which I felt might have tied in with his lack of judgement to light his cigarette. I decided to create this image using lino and printing with different coloured inks. With the first and third print in the image below I cut out shapes of bullet holes and a barrel to see what different effects I could come up with. I love to rough/uneven style that the lino printing gives and the wood effect of the border. When I was creating this in the earlier stages I wasn't sure if I like the design because I felt it looked too simple, as well as, not neat enough. I decided to carry on and start printing and found it look a lot better than I was expecting. Because of this I have decided to carry on printing in this style but using the laser cutter to print my booklets front cover and see how it turns out. (Laser cut to be produced 11th Oct)
