Experimental & Expanded Forms Process

In these stages we are leading up to working towards finishing the room. By working well together and choosing who would work on what we managed to bring things together in good time. Because the furniture is made out of the boxes we had to play with light and shadow to create the effects of some of the furnitures, for example the bed and pillow was simply painted using contours of bed sheets and the bed frame. We did the same for the window curtains.

We did originally play with the idea of using a mix of real furniture paired with the cardboard furniture, however, after speaking we each other we thought this might look to mismatched or that we had gotten lazy and wanted to cheat. So we kept with the boxes and made everything from them, which I think looked really dramatic and enchanting.
