I originally wanted the front covers for my bridal book to be landscape inspired by fabric sample books. However, the placement of the page looked awkward compared to the pages underneath which were portrait.
I did find when I created the cover with copper foil it worked a lot more effectively compared to the gold, which had transferred onto the rest of the paper and create a speckled appearance. I didn't mind this too much because the effect it gave was almost vintage looking and worn, but I preferred the cleaner result that the copper foil gave. After speaking with Miriam she suggested the booklet would look more presentable if the front cover was switched to portrait, which I agreed helped to make the whole booklet look for appealing to the eye.
